One lucky family got their Christmas wish a little early Wednesday afternoon.

HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

One lucky family got their Christmas wish a little early Wednesday afternoon.

It was a homecoming for the Latham family as Sergeant Robert Latham came home from Afghanistan.

He was greeted home by his young daughter and wife.

Sergeant Latham arrived at Lehigh Valley International around 5:00pm from Kabul, Afghanistan.

He's been serving overseas for the past 7 months with the U.S. Fifth core in the U.S. Army.

"Four different time zones in four days. It's just amazing to get home and see my daughter, my wife and all my family. Just a long journey," said Sgt. Latham.

Sgt. Latham will be around for the holidays before he heads back for one last 5 month tour in the middle east.
