READING, Pa. -

A jury has been selected to decide the fate of a man accused of killing his wife.

Attorneys are scheduled to present their opening statements in the trial of William Landis Jr. on Tuesday.

Landis killed his wife, Sharon, inside their home on Arrowhead Trail in Spring Twp., Berks Co., in October 2009, authorities said.

Landis then fired shots at police during a six-hour standoff, officials said.

Landis owned a transportation company in Muhlenberg Township.
