Juror #5: I would have liked [Sandusky] to say it face-to-face

On the eve of his sentencing Jerry Sandusky was pointing fingers from his jail cell.
"Before you blame me, as others have, look at everything and everybody," said Sandusky.
Sandusky was found guilty on dozens of child sexual abuse charges, he maintained his innocence and vowed to fight on.
The audio recording aired on Penn State's student radio station. And in it Sandusky did not ask for forgiveness.
A member of the jury who convicted Sandusky reacted to the new statement.
"I would have liked him to say it face-to-face honestly," said Josh Harper.
Jerry Sandusky didn't speak at his trial in June. But his voice was heard, on the eve of his sentencing for multiple child sexual abuse convictions.
"In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged disgusting acts," said Sandusky.
Sandusky said his accusers, the men who testified to being sexually abused by him while they were in the Second Mile, conspired against him.
"A young man who was dramatic a veteran accuser, and always sought attention, started everything," said Sandusky, "He was joined by a well-orchestrated effort of the media, investigators, the system, Penn State, psychologists, civil attorneys and other accusers. They won."
But Josh Harper who grew up in Barto and sat on Sandusky's jury said the witnesses were very credible.
"They seemed like genuine kids who'd been abused and ashamed embarrassed by it," said Harper, "But willing to take a stand because they knew it was the right thing to do."
Sandusky said he won't give up after his sentencing.
"We will continue to fight," said Sandusky.
Harper said Sandusky's team will need a stronger argument.
"The defense was all based on speculation of a conspiracy, but was never based in evidence," said Harper.
Sandusky's lawyer told national media earlier Monday that his client plans to speak at his sentencing.
