Investigators looking into possible cyber-snooping at EASD

The Northampton County district attorney is looking into a case of cyber-snooping, allegedly done by the former head of IT for the Easton Area School District.
Tom Drago, the man who at one time crafted the policy on Internet and technology usage within the district, is now in the cross-hairs of police for allegedly breaking his own rules.
The 11-year IT director accessed the computers of his colleagues and the superintendent hundreds of times without their permission, according to court documents.
Drago also reportedly copied documents that may have contained student information, made an unauthorized recording of a closed school board meeting, and may have used a web cam to take pictures of a half-naked female employee.
"That is very surprising. I wouldn't think Tom would do that," said neighbor Reginald Pinkerton.
Neighbors in Drago's Bushkill Twp., Northampton Co., neighborhood had only nice things to say, but nobody answered at Drago's door.
It all started in October when another administrator noticed a binocular icon on his computer screen, according to court documents. Upon clicking it, Drago's name appeared. The man then reportedly sent Drago a message, asking, 'What are you doing?' with no response.
That incident eventually led police to seize Drago's computers, both at home and at the district's administration building.
After digging deeper, police said they found, aside from the pictures taken of the possible school employee, 70 other naked women's photos.
"Doesn't seem right to me," said student Michael Daley, who added he's not concerned about his own information being accessed.
Drago denied the allegations but then changed his story several times, according to court documents.
Charges have yet to be filed.
