There is a buzz about a new business in the Lehigh Valley.
The new Golden Corral in Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., has food and a chocolate fountain, and customers are eating it all up.
People 69 News spoke with said they've waited awhile for the restaurant to open.
Step inside, and there is a lot of food waiting for you on a 130-feet buffet.
"It's blowing me away," said Brian Amill, from Allentown. "I've never experienced anything like this. It's kind of new."
"The pot roast is one of the other items that they look for," said Rick Galing, general manager of the Golden Corral. "They also look for the fried chicken. We sell a tremendous amount of fried chicken."
The restaurant not only has people loading up their plates. It is also a boost to the local economy.
"It's brought a different variety of restaurant to the Lehigh Valley as well as adding about 212 jobs, which is what we hired in the last two months," said Galing.
People said the new place is great and they can't wait to come back for more.
"The atmosphere is easy," said Grant Howard, from Allentown. "Easy lunch. It's quick, fast and I like the bread."
"We've never been here before, my wife and my daughter. I took them here today. It's been a pretty nice experience, really," said Amill.
"It's been tremendous. The outpouring from the entire community has been great for us, and I think it's going to continue," added Galing. "And we just look forward to being here a very long time."
The Golden Corral is located across from Macy's in the Lehigh Valley Mall parking lot. It's the only location in the Lehigh Valley since 2005.
