Giant Food Stores announces voluntary recall of Justin's Peanut Butter Cups
Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets say that they are removing Justin's Organic Peanut Butter Cups from their shelves due to possible salmonella contamination in the peanut butter.
A news release from Giant and Martins said the products included in the recall are Justin’s Organic Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, UPC 89445500024, 1.4 oz.,
with best by dates of 11/11/11 through 3/23/13, and Justin’s Organic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, UPC 89445500025, 1.4
oz., with best by dates of 11/11/11 through 3/23/13.
Store officials said no illnesses have been associated with the products.
The news release said customers who have purchased the product should
discard any unused portions. Customers can bring their purchase receipt to Giant/Martin's for a full refund.
