The wife of a man killed in an accident on Route 100 Tuesday has found support from her co-workers and friends in the Wilson School District.
The couple have a little girl who recently celebrated her first birthday. And now there's a support fund in her name.
Dana Rosenberger's husband, Devon, died Tuesday morning. Her friend said Dana knew something was wrong when she couldn't get in touch with him by phone.
State police said 6 o'clock Tuesday morning, 26-year-old Devon Rosenberger was killed when his car went across the yellow line on Route 100 and struck a pickup truck head-on.
Devon Rosenberger left behind his wife, Dana, as well as his baby girl, Brianna.
Dana has been working in the Wilson School District for three years. She was a kindergarten teacher at West Wyomissing Elementary for two years and is now a second grade teacher at Spring Ridge Elementary.
Kasey Kasopsky is a third grade teacher at Spring Ridge.
"She's probably one of the best friends you can find," said Kasopsky.
Kasopsky said Devon was young but for half his life -- 13 years-- he was with Dana.
"They've been dating since high school," said Kasopsky, "They were high school sweethearts."
And the thought of losing the love of your life touched many of her coworkers.
"They can't imagine her situation so they want to be as helpful as possible," said Kasopsky.
Together teachers planned to collect gift cards for Dana. And they're spreading the word through Facebook that they also set up a fund for one-year-old Brianna Rosenberger.
"We want Brianna to still have the care and comfort everything she would deserve," said Kasopsky.
It's an unbelievable time, but Dana is doing what she can for her daughter.
"She's strong," said Kasopsky, "She's hanging in there, but I can't imagine what's she's going through. She just takes it a day at a time."
Dana and Devon are from Quakertown, which is why the fund it set up at a bank there.
