A victim of last week's mass shooting in the Poconos is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
Linda Kozic was shot and has been hospitalized ever since.
Her husband Gerard Kozic and two other people were shot to death at a Ross Township supervisor's meeting August 5th.
Kozic is being treated at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co.
Her friends say her injuries are severe and medical bills will run into the tens of thousands, so they're hoping to help.
On the website FundRazr, you will find a smiling picture of Jerry and Linda Kozic but the reason it appears is not so happy.
On August 5th, the couple was caught in a shooting rampage at a Ross Township supervisors meeting.
Jerry Kozic, James LaGuardia and David Fleetwood were killed.
Four others were injured.
Linda was shot in the leg and was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment.
Her friends set up a special Facebook page to let the community know how she is doing.
One group of posts talks about the series of surgeries she needs.
Because of her injuries, Linda almost lost a leg.
The Facebook page also talks about the deep wounds that aren't seen on the surfaceL the loss of her husband Jerry.
One post reads: "Linda was able to say her good-byes to Jerry yesterday. A memorial service will be scheduled when she is able to leave the hospital."
But that could be quite a while.
Linda, a self employed graphic artist, doesn't have medical insurance.
Her bills are expected to reach tens of thousands of dollars.
Linda's friends have been encouraging the public to go to helplindakozic.org or to FundRazr to help.
So far her friends have raised nearly $8,000.
But on the various social media pages, they garnered countless wishes for healing and support.
The website also lists local fund raisers like one on the 28th at the Cinema and Draft House in West Hazleton.
Her friends say Linda is expected to be released Friday.
