ROSS TWP., Pa. -

Officials in Monroe County are taking steps to clean-up a piece of property that was at the center of a fight that ended in a deadly mass shooting.

Ross Township says a contractor has been hired to clean up Rockne Newell's former property on Flyte Road.

Newell opened fire on a township meeting last August, police say, because of a long-running dispute over the condition of his property.

Three people were killed in that attack.

It's not yet known when clean-up will begin but the township will pay for it, according to Ross Township officials.
