Firefighters made quick work of a fire that damaged a home in Berks County on Thursday.

ST. LAWRENCE, Pa. -

Firefighters made quick work of a fire that damaged a home in Berks County on Thursday.

The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Stoner Avenue in St. Lawrence.

The first emergency responders on the scene reported smoke coming from the home.

Firefighters from as far away as Birdsboro were dispatched. They managed to contain much of the damage to just one room of the home.

There were no reports of injuries.

Investigators have not yet determined how the fire started.
