The Freddy Awards are looking for former participants to take part in Fred X: The 10th Anniversary show on May 24.

Any student who participated in the Freddy Awards program in high school should visit the alumni page at the new website and fill out the contact information form.

The Freddy Awards has launched a new website, designed by partner Enter.net.

The new site includes information on the Freddy program, school performance schedules, links to media coverage as well as the countdown to the 2012 Freddy Awards program.

To have Freddys on the go, the Freddys application has also gotten a makeover in honor of the 10th year. With the app, which is free on iTunes, anyone can follow the Freddys performance schedules, news and connections to social media.

The Freddy Awards program recognizes and rewards exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in local high schools.

The live broadcast from the State Theatre in Easton includes performances by nominated musicals, actors and actresses, and presentation of the awards in 21 award categories.

It also presents scholarships and community awards to participating schools and students.

The 2012 Freddy Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on WFMZ, Channel 69 and streamed on WFMZ.com on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7 p.m.
