Exeter boys extend unbeaten streak to 13 games; Reading tops Daniel Boone

Published On: Jan 10 2013 10:10:06 PM CST

Exeter's perfect season was kept in tact with a win at Muhlenberg, while Reading High kept pace with the Eagles in Berks I with a victory over Daniel Boone.

There aren't too many teams in the state that can still say they're undefeated at this point in the basketball season.

Exeter's boys are among those that can.

The Eagles have played well this season, a trend they hoped would continue Thursday night in Laureldale against Muhlenberg.

Exeter led 29-24 at halftime and pulled away in the second-half for a 63-48 victory over the Muhls.

Exeter is now 13-0 and a perfect 4-0 in Berks I play. The Eagles will look to continue their winning ways Saturday afternoon at Boyertown.

Muhlenberg will visit Schuylkill Valley Saturday.

Staying in Berks I, Reading tallied a 70-60 victory over Daniel Boone Thursday evening at the Geigle Complex.

Reading High is 7-6 overall, but is also 4-0 in the division. The Red Knights will travel to Imhotep Charter Friday night before heading to Exeter Tuesday evening in what will be a huge Berks showdown.

The Blazers will host Conrad Weiser Saturday night.
