Authorities have identified the victim of Friday's south side homicide.
Ervin Holton, 43, of 100 S. 9th St. in Easton, died from multiple shotgun wounds, according to the Northampton County coroner's office.
Authorities said the homicide investigation is ongoing. Police are searching for two suspects.
Neighbors and at least one person claiming to be a family member say the victim was a well known DJ in Easton.
Dozens of police officers established a big perimeter in the south side of Easton following the shooting.
The police tape went up shortly after 5:45 p.m. Friday when a 911 call of shots fired was reported by neighbors.
"Upon officers arrival to the 100 block of West St. Joseph Street, officers did locate a victim in that area," said Lt. Det. Matt Gerould.
Many residents in the south side are talking.
"I heard shots. That's why I came outside," said Sheri, a neighbor who lives nearby. "I didn't think it was one of my friends who got killed."
Several friends and a woman who says she's the aunt of the deceased say the man is known as DJ E.
A local DJ who has worked for Larry Holmes at his restaurant for at least five years.
"He doesn't bother nobody. He's a good person, a good-hearted person. He has a daughter who is 12-years-old. He's a person that does the right thing. He's not a trouble maker," said Sheri.
Police and the Northampton County District Attorney's office say they need the public's help to solve the crime.
"We are looking for two suspects, one black male taller, small build, black or dark clothing. Second, shorter black male, also thin build with dark clothing. Possibly running east on West St. Joseph Street," said Lt. Det. Gerould.
"I'm confident based on the information that I have that this is not just a random shooting," said District Attorney John Morganelli.
Investigators say they believe the victim knew the two shooters.
