Eagles fans react to DeSean Jackson decision

The Eagles made a major move Friday: severing its ties with star wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
It's a decision that's gaining mixed reaction here in the Valley.
"I think it's a good idea, he's a cancer in the locker room," shared Eddie Cuff.
"I think it's terrible," added Tim Briody. "I think he was a great player."
The Eagles drafted 27-year-old DeSean Jackson in 2008.
Lately, rumors started swirling that the birds wanted to trade the wide receiver.
Friday he was released by the team.
"I wouldn't say I was surprised," explained Jerry Hohneck. "But it was definitely something that I wouldn't think would happen this quick."
"I thought they could probably get something in a trade," Jameel Seymour said. "So I am surprised that they released him but I'm not surprised that the fact that he's not on the team anymore."
"I think sometimes it's better even though they're really good players to kind of eliminate them if they're a distraction from the team," described Jim Caroly.
Jackson just came off his career best season in Philadelphia, leading the team with 82 catches for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.
He had a $10.25-million contract for 2014.
"I think it's going to hurt them a little bit, he was a big play receiver especially down the field," Seymour lamented.
"I think he was a fan favorite," said Briody. "He really created a lot of excitement for the Eagles, so I am sorry to see him go."
NJ.com released a report Friday that the Eagles were concerned about Jackson's ties to a reputed Los Angeles street gang.
Jackson released a statement calling the reports "irresponsible and just not true."
Still, some local fans say the birds will fly fine without the star wide receiver.
"I don't think they'll be hurt too bad by it," added Hohneck. "I think with the draft coming up there's a lot of good talent coming out of college and I think they'll be able to pick up somebody to replace him."
"They have Macklin, they have Cooper, so I think they'll draft somebody good," Caroly said.
"I think Chip Kelly knows what he's doing and the rest of the franchise," shared Cuff.
