East Stroudsburg University is trying to settle a controversy over the graduation recognition of special needs students.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -

East Stroudsburg University is trying to settle a controversy over the graduation recognition of special needs students.

ESU says there will be a "celebration" for six students who are completing CILLS experience.

That's Career and Independent Living and Learning Studies.

Some ESU students have criticized the university for not letting CILLS students walk at commencement.

The students attend classes at ESU but aren't technically part of the school.

The CILLS students' celebration will be held May 10th, eight days before the undergraduate commencement ceremony.

Details are still being worked out.
