A Warren County teacher who was fired for giving a student a Bible is being heard from again.

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. -

A Warren County teacher who was fired for giving a student a Bible is being heard from again.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is reconsidering Walter Tutka's religious discrimination claim.

The Liberty Institute is defending Tutka.

It says the EEOC dismissed Tutka's claim for insufficient information after asking for more information.

The institute claims Tutka was fired because he's a member of Gideons International -- which distributes Bibles.

The Phillipsburg School District removed Tutka from the substitute teacher list for the last school year over the Bible incident.

The district says Tutka violated its policy.
