Devon Cade plans run for magesterial judge seat

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Devon Cade of Allentown says he's planning to run for magisterial district judge.

Cade announced his candidacy Monday for the Allentown Magisterial District judge seat formerly held by Maryester Merlo.

Cade serves as a chief legal advisor for a legal expungement company. He is a member of the U.S. Selective Service system, and has also served as a police officer and chief executive officer for a youth at-risk organization.

“I have dedicated my career to protecting our families and protecting our communities, and preserving the quality of life. As a district court judge, I will continue to serve the people of Allentown," Cade said. 

"I believe that my unique combination of experience both inside and outside the courtroom, and the community makes me the best qualified candidate for this position. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our citizens fairly and intelligently, putting my experience to work for allentown. My campaign team, and I will be going door to door and speaking with our neighbors,” he added.

Cade was a nominee for for spot on Allentown City Council formerly held by Mike Schlossberg.

He is a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy College.
