Crews called for industrial accident at Materion Brush Beryllium & Composites in Perry Township

One flown to hospital after industrial accident

PERRY TWP., Pa. -

A worker was seriously injured on the job in Berks County late Monday night, officials said.

Emergency crews were called around 11:30 p.m. to Materion Brush Beryllium & Composites on Shoemakersville Road in Perry Township for reports of a man trapped following an industrial accident.

The victim, a man in his late 50s, got his arm stuck up to his shoulder in a roller machine that forms copper, officials said. The worker was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown.
