The story of Christmas came to life in Exeter Township.

EXETER TWP., Pa. -

The story of Christmas came to life in Exeter Township.

The NorthStar United Methodist Church staged a live nativity, complete with costumed actors and real animals, outside the Dairy Queen on Perkiomen Avenue Friday night.

Those who gathered to experience the special presentation sang Christmas carols and enjoyed free hot chocolate.

Children could also pet the animals and enjoy a visit with Santa Claus and one of his elves.

Donations of non-perishable food items were accepted for the Exeter Food Pantry, which serves the church's neighbors in need.

NorthStar will continue to celebrate the season of Christ's birth with candlelight services at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve at the Exeter Junior High School, 151 E. 39th St.
