A former bookkeeper has been arrested and accused of stealing more than $150,000 from a Montgomery County Church.

LOWER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. -

A former bookkeeper has been arrested and accused of stealing more than $150,000 from a Montgomery County Church.

Officials say James Moody of Philadelphia stole the money while working at Victory Fellowship Church in Lower Providence Township.

Moody is accused of secretly directing money from the church into personal accounts.

Officials say Moody claimed the account transfers as compensation when in fact he was already being paid directly by the church.

Authorities say Moody stole the money over a two-year period.

He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bail.
