New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and members of his administration are continuing their "Season of Service" tradition.

Monday Agriculture Secretary Douglas Fisher and Commissioner Allison Blake attended "Christmas Tree Cutting for Troops" at Wyckoff's Christmas Tree Farm in Belvidere.

The event was part of Governor Christie's "Choose and Cut Christmas Tree" day in New Jersey.

The trees cut down will go to military families but Secretary Fisher says cutting down Christmas trees is special for all families.

"It's a glow, it's a family remembrance, it's just something that lives on in the lives of families that they treasure," said New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas Fisher.

Belvidere High School's Future Farmers of America organization also participated in the event and donated more than $2,000 to Wyckoff's Christmas Tree Farm.
