Brick thrown through window narrowly misses toddler

A toddler from Reading is breathing a sigh of relief after a brick came flying through his apartment window.
Julian Arroyo, 2, was playing with his toys near the living room window when, suddenly, a brick shattered the glass, his parents said.
A nearby toy came between the child and the path of the brick, preventing serious injury, the parents said.
The incident happened Thursday night in the 500 block of Franklin Street in Reading.
"Luckily, there was a toy a little taller than he was and the shredded glass went around the toy," said Julio Arroyo, the toddler's father.
Arroyo also said he immediately took off running after the man accused of hurling the brick, and caught up with him in front of a pawn shot in the unit block of S. 5th Street in Reading.
Kyle Stricker, 28, was arrested at the scene and charged in connection with the crime.
"I don't know if he was crazy or drugged up, but he admitted that he did it," said Julio Arroyo.
Family members say the incident was such a close call because the toddler, after he was born, underwent an operation to his heart, and the scare could have caused his heart to stop.
"Thank God for that toy that saved his life," Arrroyo said.
Stricker is currently behind bars on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
Stricker is also facing a long list of charges, including reckless endangerment, propelling a missile into occupied vehicles, disorderly conduct, harassment, among other charges.
