PHILADELPHIA -

A young Northampton County boy who suffers from a rare disease is on the road to recovery.

Aidan Conover, 7, of Stockertown, has a disease called FSGS.

He had his kidneys removed during surgery at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Monday.

Aidan's mom said the surgery went well, and Aidan seems to be doing okay, but he's still in need of a kidney donor.

You can learn more about Aidan's journey on a Facebook page set up by his mom.
