Body found in Allentown alley; police look for killer

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Allentown police are looking for who's responsible for the death of a city man whose body was found in an alley next to his home.

John Lebar, 70, of 125 S. Penn St., was found unresponsive and lifeless in the baker's alley next to his home around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy on Wednesday showed his death was caused by blunt force trauma. The Lehigh County coroner's office ruled the death a homicide.

An investigation is underway by the Lehigh County District Attorney's office and the Allentown Police.
