Officials are urging everyone to be safe if they venture onto ice for fishing or skating.
Wednesday was the first day that Blue Marsh Lake was completely frozen over. It's very scenic, but it can also be dangerous.
"I want to remind everybody that no ice is safe ice because there's a variety of how it freezes up. In our case here at Blue Marsh, the wind tends to keep the lake open," said John Cave, park manager, Blue Marsh Lake.
Officials said if you go on the ice, you should wear a life preserver, test the ice as you go, and leave the ice in the same path you enter it.
