Monday's weather wasn't the best for riding a bicycle, but a few raindrops couldn't stop some kids from trying out their new wheels.
Thirty bikes were handed out to children at the 6th Street Shelter in Allentown.
A few of the children hopped right on and took off for a ride, but only after they had been fitted for another important gift.
"The children are getting helmets with their bikes today to help prevent injuries so that when they use their bikes, they can do so responsibly and do so without getting hurt," said Jessica Dreistadt.
The bikes were donated by the engineering firm CH2M Hill, and a number of volunteers pitched in to make sure the event went off without a hitch.
