Woman pleads in accident where boy hit by car at bus stop

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -

A Lehigh County woman accused of crashing into a five-year-old boy who was trying to catch a school bus has reached a plea deal.

Sixty-two-year-old Beverly Bell pleaded guilty Thursday to charges including reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

Police say Bell hit the boy back on September 28, 2012, at Fairmont Avenue in Whitehall Township.

Officials say the boy ended up under the bus and had to be taken to the hospital.

Witnesses say the bus's warning lights were on when the boy was hit.

Bell will be sentenced next month.
