HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

It may have been a few days late, but a special Halloween event did the trick for some local students.

More than 150 children with special needs took part in the 6th annual Pumpkin Path at the Best Western in Hanover Twp., Northampton Co.

The kids got to go trick-or-treating inside the hotel, where local businesses set up shop to hand out candy. Then they did some dancing and had lunch.

"It's definitely a neat experience," said Kellie Eschbach, president, Lehigh Valley Business Connections. "Typically, if we get a business to join, we normally see them back each year, as well. It's a very heart-warming event to put on."

The event was originally scheduled to take place on Halloween, but it had to be postponed because of Hurricane Sandy.
