READING, Pa. -

A Berks County soldier who died fighting in Afghanistan is being remembered in a big way.

Hometown Heroes hosted a ceremony Monday evening, dedicating a banner in memory of Jonathan Walls.

The Army sergeant and Wilson High School graduate was killed in an attack in Afghanistan in 2009.

Walls' father said the banner means everything.

"It's special because he's my son and he it took four years but he finally got recognized here in his hometown," said Steven Walls.

If you'd like to check out the banner, it's hanging in the 600 block of Penn Street in Reading.
