Police in Exeter Township say a man who tried to rob a bank ended up being locked out by employees.

EXETER TWP., Pa. -

Police in Berks County say a man who tried to rob a bank ended up being locked out by employees.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the National Penn Bank at 4300 Oley Turnpike Road, Exeter Twp.

Police say a witness saw a man changing his clothes and putting on a ski mask in the parking lot.

The witness then went into the bank and told them to lock the doors.

Police say the would-be robber tried to get inside but left after realizing the door was locked.

They say they're working with police in Amity Township to see if it's the same man behind a bank robbery Monday at the First Niagara Bank in the 1100 block of West Ben Franklin Highway.
