Arts Academy Charter School evacuated for gas odor

Some school students in Lehigh County didn't last long at school Friday morning.
Fire crews evacuated the Arts Academy Charter School at 1610 E. Emmaus Avenue in Salisbury Twp. around 7:30 a.m. for reports of a gas odor.
About 150 people were evacuated as a safety precaution.
Bill Fitzpatrick, executive director of the school said the suspicious odor was outside the school.
Salisbury High School allowed the students and staff to stay in the gym while authorities located the problem.
Fitzpatrick said the problem was found to be a relief valve outside the building.
UGI was repairing the valve.
There were no injuries.
Class resumed later Friday morning.
