A hearing took place Tuesday in the State Supreme Court for a woman who lost her leg in a school bus crash in Bucks County.

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. -

A hearing took place Tuesday in the State Supreme Court for a woman who lost her leg in a school bus crash in Bucks County.

Back in 2007, Ashley Zauflik was struck by a school bus outside Pennsbury High School.

The district admitted fault and a jury awarded Zauflik $14 million.

A judge later dropped that award to $500,000, citing state law on damage caps.

Zauflik is appealing that decision; her lawyer says she deserves the full amount of the award.
