Allentown man killed over apparent car deal

Officials say he was just trying to sell a car on Craigslist, but early Wednesday morning that man was found dead.
His car was gone and Allentown police launched a homicide investigation.
"Unbelievable, unbelievable," auto shop owner Eddie Perez said.
Perez says he still can't believe his fellow auto shop owner Eric Ervin is dead.
"He's a great guy. If detailing and you're short a few dollars he'd still give it to you and always gave you a good job," he went on to say.
But apparently the 41-year-old who runs Aces High Auto Detailing got caught in a bad deal.
Perez said Ervin had been trying to sell a silver BMW on Craigslist.
The building's owner says Ervin was set to sell that silver BMW to man from New York, but instead of making a nice profit Ervin was found dead around 2 a.m.
Police say a call to check on him from his girlfriend led them to the scene.
Investigators say Ervin was shot inside his trailer parked outside his Nelson street shop. He'd been a tenant in the auto-shop-heavy neighborhood for only a week.
"We all have to be very cautious," Ed Ammary, another auto shop owner, said.
Several hours later, and a county away, a man who was driving a silver BMW and had a handgun in the car was arrested in Reading.
Investigators say he's a person of interest in the case, however police aren't releasing the person of interest's name as of yet.
It does appear he may have been staying in Reading for the past several months.
