Allentown police are investigating a pair of armed robberies that happened overnight.

The first happened just before 11pm Friday at the Turkey Hill in the 1200 block of Lehigh Street in Allentown.

Police said a thin built male around 5'1'' to 5'4'' entered the store wearing a white mask from the movie "Scream," a black hoodie and blue sweatpants and displayed a handgun, demanding money.

The man was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash and five cartons of cigarettes.

Police said around 5:15 Saturday morning the Hess Gas station in the 1000 block of Lehigh Street was also held up at gunpoint.

In this incident, police said two males entered the store, and one was armed with a gun.  The men ordered the clerk to open the lottery ticket machine, then got away with an undetermined amount of lottery tickets, according to police.
