ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

An Allen High School student is in custody after police said he chased a couple of other students in Allentown with a machete.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

A 16-year-old boy was having problems with a couple of other students and ended up chasing them while holding the machete, police said.

The teens ended up at McKinley Elementary School at 1124 W. Turner St., where parents were there waiting to pick up their children, police said.

Parents notified police, and the boy was taken into custody at McKinley, police said. He was charged as a juvenile with possession of a weapon on school property, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
