Monday, crews battled a fire that nearly destroyed a warehouse in Berks County.
The fire broke out Four Seasons Flowers, a company that handles highly flammable material.
Officials said an early warning system that's supposed to be in place for fire emergencies was never activated.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
On Tuesday, PPL announced a major merger that could end up meaning fewer jobs.
Talen Enegy Company is set to take over PPL's energy supply services.
The deal will create one of the largest independent power producing companies in the world.
But, the transaction puts about 3,500 workers at risk of losing their job.
At this point, it's unclear how many jobs will actually be eliminated.
Wednesday, hundreds of people lined the streets of a small Schuylkill County community in honor of a fallen hometown hero.
A procession carrying the body of 29-year-old Captain Jason Jones stopped in the soldier's hometown of Orwigsburg.
Residents waved flags and applauded in recognition of the soldier who was killed while serving in Afghanistan.
On Thursday, disturbing sex charges were filed against a music teacher in Chester County.
Investigators said 44-year-old Anton Fomin, a teacher at the Malvern School of Music, sexually abused three 6-year-old students.
Authorities said the acts happened during piano lessons.
Friday, a former Schuylkill County mayor was convicted of possessing child pornography.
Investigators said former Coaldale Mayor Richard Corkery downloaded and viewed images of child pornography on his computer while he was working at W-L-S-H.. a radio station near Nesquehoning.
