69 News Week In Review
It's time to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.
Monday, two men were arrested for allegedly setting a historic farmhouse on fire in Berks County.
The fire severely damaged this historic building on Old Angora Road in Lower Alsace Township.
Police said 19-year-old Tyler Shakespeare of Mount Penn and 21-year-old Christopher Falini of Pottstown are facing serious charges.
On Tuesday, a group of high school wrestlers in Warren County, New Jersey came under fire after a controversial photo surfaced.
The photo shows seven Phillipsburg High School wrestlers posing with a black dummy wearing an opposing team's shirt that's hanging by a noose.
All of the students involved were suspended from school for three days and banned from a wrestling tournament held this weekend.
The wrestlers apologized the photo, which they said was not racially motivated.
Wednesday, police in Berks County said they are trying to connect the dots between a string of recent bank robberies.
In just a matter of days, robberies occurred at a bank in Amity Township and two banks in Exeter Township.
In all three cases, police said they're looking for a white man in his early 20s about six feet tall.
On Thursday, footprints left in the snow led Reading police straight to a burglary suspect.
Police said Justin Rea broke into a house in the 1300 block of Buttonwood Street, using keys belonging to the homeowner's daughter.
Police said they matched the prints in the snow to shoes found in Rea's home.
Friday, the FBI said three key witnesses in a deadly shooting in Bethlehem were being targeted in a murder for hire plot.
Police said the plot was hatched by the wife of murder suspect Rene Figueroa.
He is accused of killing one person and injuring six others in a shooting outside Puerto Rican Beneficial Society.
Figueroa's wife, Sonia Panell, could spend 25 years behind bars if convicted.
