Six miles of I-80 will be widened from four to six lanes in the Stroudsburg area.
Officials said this outdated stretch of road can no longer safely handle the 80,000 cars and trucks that travel on the road each day.
On Tuesday, investigators reopened the file of a pro-wrestler's girlfriend who mysteriously died more than 30 years ago in Lehigh County.
A grand jury will re-examine the death of Jimmy " Superfly" Snuka's girlfriend, Nancy Argentino.
Argentino died on May 11, 1983 after she was reportedly found unresponsive in a room at the George Washington Motor Lodge in Whitehall Township.
Snuka has maintained Argentino fell and struck her head while going to the bathroom.
Argentino's relatives said the couple had a rocky relationship.
Wednesday, an Easton teacher was accused of embezzling more than $300,000 from her own church.
Ann Marie Ballentine, 51, allegedly stole the money while serving as treasurer of First Presbyterian Church of Easton.
She is facing several theft related charges.
On Thursday, two men were arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Reading.
Police said the rape occurred after one of the suspects met the victim through Facebook.
20-year old Gaspar Perez and 22-year old Randy Hernandez were both sent to jail on $1 million bail.
Friday, Allentown Mayor Ed Pawloski's bid to become Pennsylvania's next governor came to an apparent end.
Sources said Pawlowski will make the announcement Monday, and he'll endorse Pennsylvania State Treasurer Rob McCord from Montgomery County.
Political analysts said Pawlowski may have had a difficult time raising the money needed to keep his campaign competitive.
