It's time to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.
Monday, authorities began a frantic search for a robbery suspect who escaped from a pair of constables in Northampton County.
Officials said 24-year-old Daniel Preziosi used petroleum jelly to wiggle out of shackles and handcuffs following his court hearing for an alleged armed robbery.
Preziosi was found the following morning inside a grocery store in Lower Nazareth Township.
On Tuesday, a Bethlehem man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his wife in front of their three children.
Police said 37-year-old Min Htut murdered his wife at their Central Park Avenue home.
Authorities said Htut then took off with their 3 year-old daughter.
Officers caught up to him and the young girl in Allentown.
Wednesday, a Methodist pastor from Lebanon County responds to his church's decision to defrock him for performing a same-sex marriage.
Rev. Frank Schaefer was originally suspended for officiating his son's same-sex marriage, but church officials decided to defrock the minister when he would not promise to abide by the church's Book of Discipline and not perform any more same-sex weddings.
Schaefer said the book discriminates against gay people, and he refused to resign.
On Thursday, a school community in Northampton County was in shock following sexual assault allegations against a former coach.
Stephanie Merlo, a former volunteer coach at Pius X High School, is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old female student.
Police said Merlo gave marijuana to the girl and the two had a sexual relationship for three months.
Friday, a well-known figure in the Latino community in Allentown was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.
Ricardo Montero, owner of the Spanish language newspaper El Torero, is accused of raping the girl in the apartment above the newspaper's Allentown office.
Montero has been in trouble with the law before. Back in 2002, Montero pleaded guilty to patronizing prostitutes.
