It's time to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.

Monday, family and friends mourned the loss of a Lehigh Valley college student killed in Central America while studying for her Master's Degree.

24-year-old Molly Hude of Slatington was killed -- along with three others -- in a taxi crash in Belize.

After years of living abroad.. Hude was just hours away from flying back home.
Hude was in Belize working on an archaeology dig.

Tuesday, a local gay couple joined the ACLU in a lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania's refusal to legalize same-sex marriage.

Less than two weeks after the U-S Supreme Court struck down the federal ban on gay marriage, couples held hands at the State Capitol.. calling for an end to Pennsylvania's ban.

Among those listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit are Northampton County residents Ed Hill and David Palmer.

Wednesday, a frightening standoff sent chills through a community in Montgomery County.

For most of the afternoon, residents in part of Lower Pottsgrove Township were either barricaded inside their homes or evacuated, as SWAT teams responded to a standoff.

Police said they were checking on a soldier who was believed to be AWOL when a shot rang out.

When police entered the home, 37-year-old Thomas Hripto was found dead.

Thursday, a man accused of holding up several banks in Philadelphia was finally nabbed in Reading.

Police said 27-year-old Carl Goodwin was hiding in the house of a female friend who had no clue she was housing a man on the run from the law.

Police said Goodwin has a long criminal past.

Friday, Chester County's top cop said he is seeking justice for four victims who endured years of unimaginable child abuse.

The district attorney said a Berks County man and two women essentially tortured the children for years, physically and sexually.

51-year-old Warren Yerger of Union Township, Berks County, faces more than 500 counts of criminal conduct.

Officials said Yerger, Deborah Keeley and Leslie Yerger are accused of sexually assaulting three girls and one boy from 1989 to 2012.

Yerger's bail was set at $1 million. Bail for the two women was set at $500,000 each.
