Monday, a Poconos high school embroiled in allegations of sexual assaults is hit with another case.
Police filed charges against 19-year-old Alonso McGill, a student at Pocono Mountain West High School. He is accused of attempting to sexually assault a female student inside a school bathroom.
The allegation comes on the heels of another student being arrested for allegedly trying to sexually assault four female classmates.

Tuesday, police arrested a man accused of killing an elderly woman from the Lehigh Valley.
Police said 29-year-old DaJuan Porter stabbed 87-year-old Joyce Roth to death while she was visiting family in Dauphin County.
Porter allegedly killed Roth while attempting to intimidate another person in the house who was set to testify against Porter in a sexual assault case.

Wednesday, a measure to clean up the air in Allentown could be heading to the election ballot after City Council failed to take action.
City Council had considered adopting an ordinance to tighten air quality control standards, but tabled the measure after state officials said it would go against state law.
The call for tougher emissions standards comes in response to a plan to open a waste-to-energy plan along the Little Lehigh Creek.
The Lehigh County Election Election Board will decide if the issue will be placed on the November ballot.

Thursday, an arrest is made in a Monroe County murder case that remained unsolved for more than a decade.
74-year-old Edward Yale was charged with criminal homicide in the 2001 death of his wife Joan Yale.
Investigators had labeled the cause of death undetermined, until the DA brought in a forensic pathologist to take another look at the case.
Authorities are now accusing Yale of fatally pushing his wife down the basement stairs of their Middle Smithfield Township home.
Yale denies the allegations.

Friday, a man arrested during a Berks County child pornography sweep is now being prosecuted by the federal government.
Danny Evans of Reading was one of 10 men arrested back in December.
According to court documents, Evans persuaded two minors under 18 years old to engage in sexually explicit conduct.
If convicted, Evans could spend 60 years in prison.
