Monday, a group of parents rallied in Allentown for a bigger slice of the state government's school funding pie.

The group is blaming a lack of funding from Governor Tom Corbett for the 132 teaching jobs on the chopping block in Allentown.

The governor's office maintains the state has increased education funding three years in a row.

Tuesday, the Lehigh Valley mourns the loss of a long-time public official.

Former Lehigh County Executive Bill Hansell died from health issues that forced him to resign last month.

Friends and colleagues remember him as a devoted public servant and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was 76.

Wednesday, a building collapse in center-city Philadelphia leaves six people dead and 14 others injured.

The building was under demolition when one of the walls fell onto a thrift store.

The crane operator is being charged with six counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Officials say he tested positive positive for marijuana following the collapse.

Thursday, Reading police search for answers after a man is found shot to death.

Police say 36-year-old Yamil Lozado Acasio was found dead at a self-storage facility in the 400 block of Blair Avenue.

Police say more than a dozen bullets struck Acasio.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Friday, friends and family remember two Berks County men who died in a boating accident.

More than 200 loved ones turned out to honor Jonny Velez and Cody Moyer during a candlelight vigil in Muhlenberg Township.

The 20-year-old Moyer and 21-year-old Velez died last weekend in the Susquehanna River after their boat capsized.
