On Tuesday morning a popular Allentown landmark burned down.
Flames tore through Youell's Oyster House in the 2200 block of Walnut Street around 4am.
Crews were at the scene most of the day and said the investigation into what caused the fire would be complex.
The building was reduced to rubble.
Firefighters had to battle the flames as well as the frigid temperatures during the blaze, which made it especially tough to fight.
Also on Tuesday, former pastor Arthur Schirmer was found guilty of murder in Monroe County.
It took a jury less than an hour to come back with the verdict.
Police said Schirmer murdered his wife Betty Jo four years ago, and they believe he also killed his first wife in North Lebanon Township in 1999.
Schirmer will face trial in Lebanon County in March, which is also when he'll be sentenced in the Poconos.
On Wednesday officials announced charges against a substitute teacher in the Allentown School District after police said he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old boy.
It happened at Union Terrace Elementary School.
Police said Michael James Agrippine, 49, of Coopersburg admitted to police that he was in a bathroom when the victim came in. He said he sexually assaulted the boy with his finger.
Officials said Agrippine previously taught English at Allentown Central Catholic.
His attorney says he plans to fight the charges in court.
On Thursday, Reading School District voted to end its relationship with an alternative school.
Delaware Valley High School will stop offering classes to at-risk students in the district in two weeks.
The Department of Education released a report about the school earlier this month that raised concerns about violent incidents at the school. It also said students were receiving less than three hours of instruction a day.
Students at Delaware Valley could be moved to a program run by the Berks County Intermediate Unit.
The Department of Education says it is still reviewing the case.
