On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles fired longtime head coach Andy Reid.
He was the longest tenured coach of the Eagles since Connie Mack in the early 1900's, but after a season of struggles the Eagles decided to part ways with Reid.
Reid leaves behind a legacy of being the best coach in Eagles history, but who never brought a Super Bowl to Philadelphia.
Just four days after his firing, Reid was hired to take over as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The New Year was busy for Reading Police as two homicides were reported in the city.
Around 2:30am, police say two men were shot in the 100 block of South 3rd Street.
Luis Medina, 21, was found dead on the sidewalk, and the other man was taken to Reading Hospital.
Then police say around 4am three men in an SUV were shot at in the 900 block of Amity Street before crashing into a fence outside the Elia Auto Service near North 9th and Exeter Streets.
Nejeeb Johnson, 34, died at the scene.
Police say the shootings are two separate incidents and are asking the public for any information.
On Wednesday, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett announced he's filing a federal anti-trust lawsuit on behalf of the state against the NCAA.
Corbett says the NCAA overstepped its bounds when penalizing Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
The school was fined 60 million dollars, banned from football bowl games for four years, and stripped of scholarships and 14 years of winds under late head Coach Joe Paterno.
The NCAA calls the lawsuit "an affront to all of the victims'' of Jerry Sandusky.
And on Friday, state officials said the Reading School District may not be able to make payroll in two months.
Officials say the district has an estimated 15-million dollar budget shortfall.
But school board members say there is no sudden budget shortfall.
They said a math mistake on a recent audit led to the confusion.
The board members said the district will be able to make payroll come March.
