On Monday, officials said a man posed as an insurance agent, then attacked three elderly Mennonite women in Lancaster County.
Police charged Dereck Taylor Holt, 22, after they say entered a home along the 300 block of Indiantown Road.
While inside, police said Holt attacked two women using a stung-gun to repeatedly shock them, and hit them multiple times.
They said a third woman came home during the assault and Holt attacked her as well.
Officials said Holt duct taped and bound the women.
Police said the women were sisters, between the ages of 84 and 90 years old.
Officials believe the attack was the result of personal anger and hostility he had toward the Mennonite community, of which he was at one time a member.
Tuesday, Lehigh Valley International Airport announced international flights are coming to the area.
The airport is adding a five-million dollar U.S. customs station where flights to Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean would be possible.
The Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority says they will get the money for the project with a combination of grants and customer fees.
On Wednesday, Berks County officials said eight men were arrested in connection with a child pornography sweep.
Police said the men possessed or distributed pornographic images of children as young as one-year-old.
The arrests came after a four-month investigation.
Police said they are still searching for one suspects, Brett Correll. Hugo Blanco, who was also wanted turned himself in on Thursday.
Police say the 10 suspects were not all working together, and the four children identified in the pictures are safe.
Thursday, Emmaus High School was evacuated after officials received threats of a bomb on the school grounds.
Parents of students in the East Penn School District got an automated phone message explaining that bomb sniffing dogs swept the premises.
