ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

It's time now to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News week in review.

On Tuesday, Reading Police had a homicide investigation on their hands.

Police said gunfire erupted around 2:30am in the 1100 block of Franklin Street.

Several homes and vehicles were hit during the gunfire.

Police said Dario McLemore, 22, of Palmer Township, Northampton County was found dead on a sidewalk.  Officers said about 20 feet away, the driver of vehicle that was double parked in the road, Rafael Alequin, 22, of Cumru Township, was also found shot to death.

Police believe the men were targeted, and are still searching for the shooter.

2 men gunned down on Franklin St. in Reading

On Wednesday, Allentown police made quick work of a homicide that happened in the city.

Police said Juan Devarie, 46, was attacked by three strangers early Wednesday morning while he was trying to take his daughter and her friends to a local diner.

He died at the hospital after the attack.

The Lehigh County District Attorney charged Bijorn Trent, 30, of Allentown with homicide in the attack.

He's being held at Lehigh County Prison.

Man arrested for death of man found in car

Also on Wednesday, officials in Richmond Township, Berks County were dealing with two fatal accidents just hours apart.

Police said Matthew Bortz, 28, of Mohrsville was killed when his motorcycle collided head on with a tractor trailer on Park Road Wednesday morning.

During the afternoon, police say D. Seth Fouti of Blandon was killed when he hit the back of a tractor trailer on Route 222 in Richmond Township.

Police said Fouti was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coroner called to scene of 2nd deadly accident in day

On Friday, two men from Allentown were charged in a deadly shoot-out that killed a young woman last weekend.

Police said Rene Figueroa, 32, fired a fatal gunshot that hit Yolanda Morales outside the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society in Bethlehem last Sunday.

Figueroa was charged with her homicide Friday.

Javier Rivera-Alvarado, 38, is also facing charges of attempted homicide for allegedly shooting Morales and two of her friends.

In all, six people were hit by bullets in the melee, including Figueroa and Rivera-Alvarado.
