5,000 runners hit Allentown streets in the St.Luke's Half Marathon, 5K

Thousands of runners laced up their sneakers for a good cause Sunday.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Thousands of runners laced up their sneakers for a good cause Sunday.

The 29th annual St. Luke's University Health Network Half Marathon and 5K raced through Allentown.

About 5,000 runners took part in the events.

The event brought in more than $10,000 for St. Luke's Mobile Health Units.

Phil Rector, 25, of Hellertown and 14-year-old Alyssa Repsher won first place in the 5K, and 27-year-old Ian Walsh  of Easton and 43-year-old Kathleen Jobes of Bethlehem won the half marathon.
