For the first time in Andy Coen's tenure as Lehigh head coach, he's had to suspend players for an off-field incident. An incident that occurred at a Bethlehem bar Tuesday night.

For the first time in his tenure as Lehigh head football coach, Andy Coen read from a prepared statement at today's media gathering. It's usually a fairly informal affair, but today was different. That's because Coen has suspended 4 Lehigh football players due to an off-campus incident last night. Coen couldn't give the players names or discuss the suspensions because it's an ongoing investigation by the university and Bethlehem police. We have learned today that aggravated assault charges have been filed by Bethlehem Police against sophomore defensive back Russhon Phillips after an alleged assault at a Bethlehem bar in which one man suffered injuries.  Lehigh is 2-0 on the season and preparing to play Princeton on the road this weekend.
