WILSON, Pa. -

Officials in Northampton County have received a report of an attempted luring of a child Sunday -- the second in the Lehigh Valley on that day.

Police received a report Monday that a 9-year-old girl was approached around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of 19th Street and Hay Terrace in Wilson.

The girl told police she was riding her bicycle when an older model, dark green dented and 'beat up' van pulled up to her and the driver tried to talk her into getting in.

She fled and the driver left in an unknown direction.

The driver was described as an older (possibly in his 50s) white man with long hair pulled back in a ponytail, with a long gray beard.

Anyone with information should call the Wilson Police Department at 610-0258-8746.

Also on Sunday, police in Easton said a man tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into a pickup truck in the 1200 block of Pine Street. He was unsuccessful and drove away.
