Two people were rescued by another boater after their craft capsized early Thursday.
According to officials, Chris Coffe, of Jackson, N.J., and Justin Mulitore, of Spotswood, N.J., were fishing in a 12-foot-long aluminum boat at Spruce Run Reservoir when their boat capsized around 6 a.m.
A camper, who happened to be boating at the same time, saw the men floating in the water, both wearing life vests, officials said.
The camper took each man to shore one at a time, officials said.
Coffe and Mulitore, both 41, were treated by New Jersey Park police, Clinton Fire and Rescue and High Bridge Fire and Rescue teams.
One was treated by hypothermia at the scene and both were taken to Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington.
At the time of the rescue, the water temperature was in the low 40s, and water depth was around 43 feet deep where the men fell in, according to park officials.
The boat was about 100 yards from shore and eventually sank.
The rescuer didn't want to be identified, according to park officials.
The reservoir at Spruce Run Recreation Area is located in Union Twp., Hunterdon County.
